Tree House Counselor

Provide clinical mental health services to dependency youth (primarily girls) ages 12-17 who are at risk for sex trafficking. These services include individual/group counseling, bio-psycho social assessment, treatment planning, and crisis counseling.

Utilize an evidence-based group curriculum approved by the Department of Children and Families to facilitate a weekly group aimed at the prevention of human trafficking.

Provide support with in-crisis or problem cases; provide on-going assistance to program staff in coordinating services for clients, including after-hours assistance, support and coverage as needed or scheduled.

Assist in the provision of case management services and supervision of youth during the day. Case management services would include but not be limited to coordinating with the dependency case managers and placement specialists to assist in meeting youths’ health/educational/mental health needs, completing/monitoring the youth’s individual service case plan, and providing quality assurance reviews of documentation.

Obtain training/certification in an evidence-based trauma treatment modality within the first year of employment if not already obtained. This will be paid for by the agency.

Assist in entering data into the client’s electronic health record or other database in a timely manner, as required by the program.

Lead or facilitate clinical training in evidence-based practices to agency staff, as required by the program.

Liaison with community agencies and attend closure or conference staffing
