Street Outreach Advocate

The Street Outreach Advocate provides homeless prevention, outreach services and case management to youth 11-25 years old who are experiencing a wide array of challenges. These services may include initial screenings, crisis intervention, case planning, internal and external referrals, progress evaluation, rapid rehousing, mobile street outreach, housing assistance, drop in center services and peer to peer counseling. SOA’s are the boots on the ground and front line workers for youth in the community. The Street Outreach Advocate’s (SOA) role is to work with and through agency staff for the particular purpose of serving, protecting, and strengthening youth, families, and communities. This is professional work which involves locating, rapport building, and assisting run-away and homeless youth and adults in the Big Bend area
