How you can help

Our programs are constantly threatened by insufficient funding – government monies decrease, natural disasters hit – the challenges are ongoing.   In spite of our effectiveness at addressing the needs of families and youth in crisis, our progress and success is hampered by lack of resources.  YOU are critical to the survival of CCYS.  There are many different ways you can help – a few are listed below. We also welcome your ideas.

Volunteering
Interested in stepping out of your comfort zone and reaching into the life of a child?  Even a few hours a week can turn a young person’s life around.  More comfortable helping with the administrative load or fundraising events?  Have a special talent teaching crafts or playing an instrument?  Volunteer opportunities exist in these areas and many others.   Please call 850.576.6000 for more information, send us an email or fill out the Volunteer Application and fax it to us at 850.576.2580.

Internships
We accept interns in all of our programs. Contact Shannon Martin shannon@ccys.org  or Melanie Carty Melanie@ccys.org for more information on available internships.  Interns are accepted from FSU, FAMU or any institution of higher learning which has approved CCYS as an internship site.

In-kind and Financial Donations
In-kind donations of items useful in the operation of CCYS are greatly appreciated. Paper goods, food supplies, personal care items are some examples of “in-kind” donations.  See our shelter “Wish List” for more ideas.  Donations of tickets to recreational and entertainment events are a wonderful way to help the youth in our shelter get out for a few hours.

We have youth in our shelter 365 days a year - including the holidays – these are especially trying times for estranged families.  Gifts, parties, and meals are a great way to offer comfort and support.

If you shop at Albertson’s, one of the easiest ways to support CCYS – at no cost to you - is to enroll in the Community Partners Program.  CCYS receives a donation from Albertsons each time you shop and use your Albertsons Preferred Buyers Card with CCYS as one of the identified charities associated with your card..  Simply download this form and fax or mail to Albertsons to link your card with CCYS.

You may prefer to make a financial donation.  Please download this form and send in with your credit card information or check made payable to CCYS.  Call 850-576.6000 ext 326 for more information.  To learn about other ways to give to your favorite charity through trusts, wills, stocks and property, please consult a tax attorney of your choice.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT – WE COULDN’T DO IT WITHOUT YOU!
